With 18 years of equine bodywork experience, Lisa Wynne developed Measured Response Bodywork. She firmly believes in listening to the horse during all bodywork sessions. Given the opportunity, horses can provide a roadmap to their own areas of stiffness and soreness. Measured Response Bodywork is focused on helping the horse help you stretch, manipulate and return soft tissues to an improved state of relaxation and suppleness. The amount of pressure and manipulation applied is defined by what the horse says it needs: nothing more and nothing less. Bodywork includes the entire body, horse willing. Lisa's understanding of training, soft tissue layering/anatomy and biomechanics allows her to conduct a thorough analysis of each horse she works with. Lisa has done bodywork all over the Greater Saint Louis Area. She works on performance and horses, as well as retired horses and has a long, positive track record in injury recovery.
Want to pair a bodywork session with a hoof trim? Your horse wants you to do that, too! Lisa starts with the hoof trim and then does a bodywork session, setting up a horse's muscles, tendons and ligaments to adjust to the trim.
The hoof is a continuation of the body as a system and it's condition and care play a significant role in determining long term ability and comfort in the horse. Lisa got into natural hoof trims after becoming frustrated with biomechanical issues showing up repeatedly in her bodywork clients, contributing to increasing the frequency in bodywork need in her clients. She uses the Hoof Guided Method by Maureen Tierney. Lisa provides photographs, analysis and education during each trim session and relates the horse's hoof back to it's body.

Poor gut health, stemming from uncontrolled bad bacteria and yeast, can lead to internal and external challenges including IBS, rain rot, scratches, thrush, yeast infection, etc. Lisa's extensive work in rescue and horse management led to her developing two products to support a healthy microbiome inside and outside the horse:
HHIA Hoof Rescue: Most horses don't have healthy frogs. They are prone to yeast infections and bacterial infections, including thrush. There's no way to know which infection your horse is fighting, other than treating for both. HHIA Hoof Rescue naturally eliminates the environment for yeast and bacterial growth while promoting a healthy hoof. A little goes a long way and it sticks easily to your horse's hoof, creating a long lasting barrier between hoof and the ground/mud.

HHIA Gut and Immune Support: The link between immune health and gut health is clear in horses. Horses are prone to digestive upset, IBS, ulcers, etc. which can stem from or be made worse by poorly supported internal microbiomes. Any time a horse is placed under stress due to even minor changes in feed, weather, work, social structure, travel, etc. a horse's immune system can suffer, making them more prone to illness and allowing infections like rain rot, scratches and thrush to take hold externally. By supplementing your horse for better internal health, you can promote better internal and external health, muscle recovery and reduce opportunities for bacterial and yeast infections to take hold.
